News?

I was checking in on my google reader (best invention ever) this morning and saw this news article on WRAL's news feed:

I just laughed out loud in my cube. This does not constitute news! Of course Willie Nelson's band members had Moonshine & recreational amounts of marijuana. I would have been surprised/let down if they didn't! And why did the ALE feel it necessary to bust them? That is just silly.
In other news, it is Friday. THANK HEAVENS! I scheduled a vet appointment for Okaa at 8:30 tomorrow morning since she is over due for her rabies shot and I spied a Possum on Drew's neighbor's porch two nights ago. However, I imagine with the pending weather fiasco that I will be rescheduling.
Time for more coffee and making these M-1 & M-2s balance. Have a fantastic day!

State of the Union

I can't lie....I didn't watch much of the State of the Union address last night. Drew, Drew's roommate (Scott), and I turned it on for all of 5 minutes before we had enough of the formalities surrounding this speech. The cliche prose, standing, clapping, whistling, sitting, repeat, as Scott put it, is so inefficient. I am sure the president spend alot of time talking about the economy, job creation, new regulations, ect. I wonder how much it cost to pull of the State of the Union address? To assemble that many people, make sure that building is secure, get all the news stations there, outfit for presidents entourage, the list could go on and on. A better thing to do would have been to make a radio broadcast like in the FDR days (fireside chats). It would have saved so many of your tax payer dollars!

Speaking of...let me know if anyone needs their taxes done ;)

Happy Hump Day! Congratulations on making it half way through the week!

I always get excited when Wednesday is over because I only have two days left in the week! Although, I imagine that coming in to work this Saturday is not out of the question. I did see that there is a chance for snow/ice Friday night in to Saturday morning...so we have that to look forward to! I did make an appointment for Okaa to go to the vet Saturday morning so I may have to change that. She chewed up her collar two days ago so she has been a naked Husky dog since we don't have time to go shopping for a new collar. It is on my to do list!

My business cards were in my box yesterday so I guess it is official! And I completed my first federal tax return! Go me!

Cube Buddies

So I have decided to create a blog...I think it will be a good way to take 5 minutes every day to laugh at myself. I will call it my self-help blog :)

Drew and I went to Staples on Sunday night, we both love Staples and all things office supplies. We are total accounting dorks. I needed a drawer organizer and I think Drew needed some special paper. We spend like 30 minutes just wandering around and looking! I got a great desk organizer and now I feel much better about my desk!

My favorite find, however, were my new cube buddies! Notice any familiar faces?

I am so glad to finally be back at my desk after being away for a week and a half!
