Things that help

I was locked out of the house last night so I took my time at the grocery store, which resulted in the purchase of a toy.
I am sure I had one of these as a child. The small things in life that help you get through Friday afternoon. It actually works to. It makes popping noises and the little balls bounce around. TWSS... Is it 5:00 yet?

Happy Bird-day

Today is Drew's birthday! Happy 18th birthday Drew!

I told Sara that we were going to have Drew's friends over Saturday and I wish she could be there to help me be a hostess. Here is her response:

"Anyhooo Drew's bday sounds like fun! Don't you worry If we've learned nothing else from our crazy mothers its how to throw a party! Too much alcohol, lots of food and a little shirley q liquor if all else enteratinment fails and your set."

Thanks Sara, and now, a little Shirley Q to brighten up this grey hump day!

DYWBYT

In all of the partner's and executive director's offices there are white boards on one wall. They use these to keep track of clients and dues dates I guess. Anyways, on one of the partner's white board he has DYWBYT written in big letters across the top with words coming down from each letter. He isn't in his office today so I stuck my head in his door to see what it said:
Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty
Interesting...I guess that is a good rule to live by. Maybe we should tell some of our clients this...

The Office

The Office is my favorite TV show. I don't think any other series has been consistently good, funny, entertaining, ect. that has aired in my generation. I could watch old episodes over and over and never get tired of the same Michael Scott-isms. Tonight is the second new episode of 2010 and I am so excited to watch it! On this evenings episode Dunder-Mifflin is being bought out by a new company and the employees (mainly Michael Scott I imagine) are adjusting to this change in ownership. This is going to be good!

In other news...the snow is FINALLY gone. I was getting annoyed with walking my crazy husky dog on iced sidewalks. Drew made fun of me because his front step still has some ice/snow on it (which bothers me immensely) and I can barely walk on it. Especially in my accounting shoes (heels)!

Weekend Activities

Hello!

As a result of the snow, work was a bit hectic yesterday. I worked from home until about 11 and then I ventured out to drive to work. The roads were pretty nasty still but I made it fine. There were very few people that came in, most just worked from home!

Well, this weekend was quite adventurous. Friday night we went to PetSmart to buy Okaa a new harness and it had already started snowing at 7! It was beautiful! So we got the harness and dinner and then came home! The next morning it had snowed a good 5 inches! It sleeted/snowed all day! We decided to clean the house and tied Okaa up outside on her lead with her new harness. At one point in the afternoon I went out to check on her and she was GONE. So, Drew and I went on a cold ass dog search. We finally found her after suffering from near frost bite and mega frustration. I thought Drew was going to KILL her. But, she is fine, just too strong and that harness was just not strong enough! Needless to say we were back at PetSmart Sunday afternoon returning that POS and getting a much stronger one.

We also bought Okaa a dog bed/couch on Sunday. As Drew says, that is the best $18 we have ever spend. Rotten dog...
We also hung up my little fish measuring spoons which makes me oddly happy:

Ok, time to get to work! Doing a provision today! Wish me luck!
